Spartacus, the most famous Roman gladiator, is one of the heroes that your empire may recruit. Thanks to his leadership, he was able to gather a numerous (over 100000 people) army of slaves and farm workers, that he armed and trained. They were able to defeat several Roman legions.
In Mare Nostrum, Spartacus allows you, once per Political Phase to build a legion with only one slave or one tax, instead of the 3 resources/taxes required combination. He facilitates the recruitment of legions that will boost your defensive or offensive potential.
